Is blog beneficial for language learning and teaching?

I think the answers to the question are different from one to another.  Personally I think blog is a good tool for language learning and teaching as well.   For example, participants can give comments freely and it’s also a kind of interaction. Hope I will figure out how to integrate this tool into my class.
